trytrytry,

Hey there, i saw your post on the tech board about your previous problem downloading the windows service pack and the message you got: c:\windows\system32\ftp.exe is running or in use...

i get the same message and have the same problem, not sure if you fixed the problem or not. but if you did PLEASE email me at gambling1015@aol.com, or tell me how you fixed the problem. sorry for cluttering up this board, but need the help.

or if anyone else could help out that would GREAT. i had a problem with either a virus or spyware that i have finally worked through but i still can't download the the service packs.

thanks

thanks in advance

primetime21, when your ready to install the program you need to close all other applications that are running. To do this, click control + alt + delete at the same time, ONCE, a close program box will appear. Next select every program except Explorer by clicking on it once, then click end task. some programs may be tough to close, you may have to wait for another dialog box to appear and click end tesk on that one also or reapeat the process on that same program. After you get every program closed you should be able to install without a problem... <<< this works for WIN98. Not sure if it will work for XP I don't have much expeirence with XP so I'm not sure how you would go about stopping the processes within it, although I don't think it would be to hard to find.<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_1551036", true); </SCRIPT>
